On the final county weekend of the season IOM2 faced Lothian 2 in their opening match. The IOM side got their weekend off to a fantastic start winning 9-2.
Saturday afternoon saw the IOM team play Durham who were top of the league. Going into the match Durham were … points ahead. An incredibly strong team performance saw the IOM team win 8-3.
After Saturday’s performances IOM2 were level on points with Lancashire 4 at the top of the table, with Durham only three points behind. With Durham and Lancs playing each other we knew were were in with a good chance!
IOM pulled out another superb performance today beating Northumberland 7-4 today to win the division.
What a season from all after only being promoted into this league last year.
Big shout outs for notable performances this season go to, Charlotte who won 7/8 ladies singles, Phil who won 9/10 of her matches, Kitty who won 9/11 of her matches, Charlotte & Emma who won 7/8 ladies doubles together and Ste who won 8/10 of his matches
